The Healthy heart Through Ayurveda

We often watch advertisements that claim to lower our blood cholesterol by the superior quality of their cooking oil. Such advertisements are popular all over the world, from television commercials, newspaper advertisement to all over the internet. So much so that even the kids are aware of the acclaimed positive health benefits of these cooking oils. But the important thing here is how many people are actually aware of the harmful effects of high blood cholesterol and what significance does blood cholesterol hold in the normal and healthy functioning of the human body? Sadly the percentage of people having such information is severely limited and most of these are not even aware of such a term!

Cholesterol contributes to vital bodily functions as building new cells, insulating nerves, and producing hormones. Therefore it is of prime importance that balanced cholesterol levels are always maintained in the body. But more often than not, people end up with very high and sometimes even low cholesterol levels. Depending on the level of cholesterol in the body, a cardiovascular disease could be either invited or prevented. Thus where HDL (high-density lipoprotein) or good cholesterol is associated with decreased risk, LDL (low-density lipoprotein), the so called bad cholesterol, is associated with increased risk of dying though hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis), leading to coronary heart diseases.

There are various factors due to which LDL cholesterol levels in the body could increase:-

• Unhealthy food habits
• Lack of movement and exercise
• Stress
• Tension.

So, lesser the LDL you have in your blood, the safer your arteries are.

A few steps in the healthy direction of lowering and maintaining healthy cholesterol levels in the body could work wonders for an individual. Using sunflower seed oil for cooking instead of the regular saturated fats and butter is an effective way to ensure decrease in heart-related problems. Drinking onion juice facilitates the process of blood purification and blood circulation. Consuming olive oil is another remedy that works wonders in reducing high levels of cholesterol. Along with this, consumption of coriander seeds, methi seeds and garlic paste have been proven ways of countering blood cholesterol problems for centuries.

Ayurveda too has done its fair share to ensure healthy cholesterol levels in the human body. Through its natural herbs and health supplements, Ayurveda has from time to time created effective solutions for high blood cholesterol. Herbs like Alfalfa, Arjuna, Guggulu , Guduchi (Indian Tinospora), Parijat (Night Jasmine), Manjistha and Holy basil have been used as ayurvedic medicines against heart related diseases for centuries. One of Ayurveda’s most talked about products is CHLCare. This amazing herbal supplement helps in dropping the level of LDL or "bad" cholesterol and is highly effective in reaching an improved ratio of bad (LDL) to good (HDL) cholesterol. CHLCare is an effective remedy against all cholesterol related problems. CHLCare formula nourishes mental functioning, improves learning, retention, nurtures and relaxes the mind.

Ayurveda again proves its worth by giving the most potent solution to every health ailment of man.
