Bid Farewell to Headaches with Ayurveda

One does not have to use one’s imagination to a great extent to know how it feels being brought down by a migraine headache. Even the ones in top physical condition can feel stifled by headaches, which leads to highly disturbed and irritable daily functioning. To a common man a migraine means a painful headache that occurs due to no reason at all. It is mostly described as a cold piercing pain that sears through the head causing massive discomfort. This pain can last from 4 to 72 hours and although it may happen only once or twice a year, but there are chances that it may affect you daily activities, with women being more likely to have migraines than men.

At the onset of a migraine attack, almost nothing seems to work. Avoiding heat, light, work, sound and even your husband and children does not provide the required relief. One of those situations, when a severe pain puts you down- hook, line and sinker! The only bright light about a migraine is that it is transient, meaning that the pain goes away after sometime, though chances are that it would come back again to haunt you. Stress, anger, physical and mental fatigue are some of the factors that might trigger a migraine attack. You are at the end of the rope and sometimes trying out all options, including, medications, physicians, acupuncturists and even massage therapists does not seem to work.

Possible symptoms of migraines include
  • Intense throbbing or piercing pain on one side of your head or both sides
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Blurred vision or blind spots
  • Light, noise and odours become intolerable
  • Constant fatigue
  • Stiffness in the neck and simultaneous pain.
  • Dizziness
More often than not, the current urban lifestyle, which revolves around computers, laptops, and televisions, is also responsible for the onset of migraines. Avoiding smoking and exercising regularly can be a good start in relieving oneself from migraine. Movement encourages the brain to produce more endorphins, which are natural pain fighting hormones. However it can also aggravate and worsen the condition and therefore in such circumstances, walking can be beneficial.

Ayurveda too can prove to be a great remedy for migraines and a welcoming relief to those unable to find a solution elsewhere. With the Ministry of Science and Technology, India backing Ayurveda as a recognized treatment for migraine, the world might finally have an answer to this 300-year-old neurological disease. If not cure, the Ayurvedic Treatment Protocol (AYTP) comprising aahar (diet), vihaar (lifestyle) and aushadh (herbo-mineral formulation), promises conditions 'close to cure'. Dehradun-based Ayurvedic physician Vaidya Balendu Prakash, the pioneer of AYTP, believes that migraine has been treated as a neurological disease for ages, and was therefore dealt with only through painkillers (Study).

Through the use of natural herbs and highly effective supplements, Ayurveda has the right solution to this age-old problem. One of the most potent remedies to migraine is provided by another herbal supplementMigCare. Consisting of a combination of the purest herbs blended based on the most ancient knowledge of Ayurveda, MigCare is a completely natural remedy to migraines. The remarkable all-natural MigCare formula has been proven safe, time tested and very effective for thousands of people suffering from the discomfort, acute & chronic pain, and immobilizing Migraine or Headaches.

Once again Ayurveda comes to the rescue of the unhealthy, and that too in a natural way.
